'more less' tees from a recent shop update.
my two favorites:
i had a lot of fun creating these new tops (available in the shop next week). each is a carefully selected combo of second-hand shirts featuring peachy-pink florals, stripes and dots. i really made the most of the available fabric creating pockets from sleeves, etc. so happy with the resulting garments!
all the new garments will be available in the shop by the end of this month. since most items are one of a kind, i'll be giving everyone on our mailing list a head start!
here are the tanks (made from vintage fabrics).
we are packing our bags for a little trip to nashville this weekend. excited to see this cute face.
next week i'll be adding some new (more less) women's clothing to the shop!
to make room for these new tops i reduced the prices of some of last season's garments and added them to our shop's sale section.
new! black wrist zips available singly or mix and match the zipper colors. i'll wear one with peach and one with green.
oh, and i used up the scraps these tees (womens and kids) to make a couple pairs of wrist zips. these may be my favorites yet. maybe i should keep a pair...
this is an old article, but a nice pick-me-up. i love what sadie says about wrist zips: "a little on the dork side of accessories – but more so in that really cool Miranda July kinda dork way". not bad.
wow, i can't believe i won annie's giveaway. i never win anything, so i was super-shocked when i checked my email this morning. went from groggy to giddy in two seconds. eep! i cant wait to wear that hat!
just updated the shop with some new kids things:
also, i am an exhibitor this month on papernstitch... and i'm offering a 15% discount on everything in the shop. just enter coupon code: HELLOFALL when checking out!
and three more new kids tops... this first one is my favorite. as you can see i can't get enough of these contrasting cuffs.
been having fun sewing up some new kids clothes. the next batch will feature lots of roll-able cuffs that show off fun contrasting fabrics. more long sleeves and pieces perfect for layering. also some tops (and pants?) will be completely reversible! i had a few reversible garments when i was a kid and i thought they were the coolest things ever.
yesterday i met up with my sister and nephew, max. he adorably modeled some of this new gear. super excited to show you photos! here's a little peek for now...
max wearing the neon kitty tee:
squeezing in a few more summer-y tanks before switching to fall-ish designs and color-combos. the first one has a pretty vintage flower applique on it that i've been saving forever. the aqua polka dotted fabric is mega-soft. click on an image to link to the shop.
here's sweet little ivy modeling a couple of kids items from plastic foliage.
first is one of my favorite things in the shop: the organic baby tee. it's just about the softest thing ever.
and here is a little striped tunic that looked adorable on her. i think this would be the perfect thing for a beach baby.
i already miss little ivy and her big big eyes.
three new tanks for tots in the shop today! this first one is my favorite. i've been saving the vintage anchor applique for a while. it just seemed right on the navy/white stripes.
you may have noticed the new tags on these. i was using my woven foliage tags (which are normally reserved for garments made from new fabrics) because my handmade more less tags just seemed to big for wee kids clothes. anyhow, i finally decided to just screen print some smaller tags myself. i'm really happy with how they turned out!
