when i have my diana mini film developed i get the photos printed 4x4", so it was a nice treat to get some re-printed 8x8". this is one of my favorites from a few years back: david in the woods on his birthday. i hung it on the wall in my sewing area so this nature man can peer across my forest of fabrics.
a couple days last week were weirdly (wonderfully) warm. we took a break from work to enjoy coffee, pastries and cloud atlas at a picnic table in the park. then we walked down a crunchy path and took some photos with little friends who tagged along in our tote. a businessman, a bunny, a ball...

as a wedding anniversary gift (to himself?) my brother-in-law asked me to take some photos of his lovely wife. i was pretty nervous, since i hadn't done this formal of a photo shoot before, but it was really fun. we drove around town all evening looking for interesting locations. i think we got some great shots. here are my favorites:

...my diana mini, that is. actually, she's not technically 'back' since this is a whole new camera than before. you see, over the summer her shutter started getting stuck open, exposing a few rolls of film. unfortunately, they were rolls i shot in china, so i didn't know until i returned that there was a problem. even then i thought we'd just gone through too many scanner/xray machines... anyway, eventually i realized that the camera was malfunctioning... the peeps at lomography were kind enough to send a replacement. so good.
