just had to show you the cutest cat puzzle ever.  i found this little gem on etsy and gave it to david for christmas.  it's a delightfully furry addition to our collection of vintage tuco mini-puzzles (almost all of the others are landscapes).  perfect for a puzzle challenge!

enjoying evenings drinking tea (with lemon) listening to the radiators clank & popping pieces in the puzzle.

mountains missing pieces

we do a lot of jigsaw puzzles.  about 99% vintage,  possibly missing pieces.  it's always a bit disappointing to reach the end and find it incomplete.  but, things can be done to lift ones spirits...  first, ask a friend if he is hiding the last piece in his pocket.  if he is not, you can still save your favorite section by giving it a couple coats of clear acrylic.  voila!  strauss seems pleased.

lunch break

today we had leftover pasta with homemade sauce and started another jigsaw puzzle.  the shapes and colors of the pieces are fantastic.

yesterday we saw that you can sign the royal guest book to pass your well wishes and advice to the happy couple.  we joked about writing a note saying something about the jigsaw puzzle we're working on and how it seems to be missing a piece.   but that would be in poor taste, i'm sure. 

anyway, here is prince charles in 1977.  i loved reading the back of the box.

snow fun

between blizzards we've had some fun with the ol' landie. 

more often than not, when i say to david:  will you go stand over there so i can take your picture?  he goes over there and says:  what do you want me to do?  should i jump?  and usually i say:  yes.  jump.

and now we've got all these mountain ranges popping up in parking lots.  here he is gazing across the new lumpy landscape at "great clips" where he's about to get a haircut.



i finished this jigsaw puzzle the same day we took these photos.  pretty crazy, eh?
