Vintage Velvet Patchwork Pony Pouch

I sort of wish I had yards and yards of this vintage velvet fabric featuring frisky ponies and pretty flowers.  If I had a bunch I think I'd make myself a blazer, but I only had enough for a few pouches…  Which are now available here!

New in the Shop: Organic Cotton Doodletown Baby Leggings

Since I began making baby hats and burp cloths out of my original fabrics I've had several requests for baby clothes made from my fun designs as well.  So here is a small start:  Super-soft organic cotton Doodletown baby leggings are now available here!  I didn't have baby clothes in mind when creating this design, but now it seems so perfect for covering cute little legs, don't you think?

mountain pillows + patchwork pouches

some fun new things in the shop today! "forever mountain" pillow covers handmade from my pattern printed on sturdy linen-cotton canvas. endless snow-capped peaks cover back and front with an invisible zipper running along the bottom.  fits a standard 16x16" insert.

new boxy pouches in the shop

i've been busy making pouches for the renegade craft fair (chicago), but i just can't keep them all under wraps 'til then, so these four are now in the shop:  animal heads, gritty kitties, mountains & clouds and plant bits.

i took time to experiment with construction details wanting to get everything as perfect as possible.  i like how these boxy bags sit on a surface and the zippers open extra wide for a good view of everything inside.  i make the lining a bit smaller than the outer fabric and attach it to the zipper further from the teeth so it will never get stuck.  i had fun searching through my vintage fabric collection to choose beautiful linings for animal heads and gritty kitties.  i want to keep one of each!  (click here to shop all my original fabric pouches).

i don't know about you, but i like pennies, especially wheat backs.  it was fun drawing "heads" and "tails" again and again to get silly variations in Abe's profile.  these original fabric pouches are 5.5x4.25", the perfect small size for keeping coins, keys and candy corralled in purses and totes.  available here.

new in the shop: animal heads tote

i'm so happy to share this fun new tote with you!  30 different animal personalities printed in dark brown on cotton canvas totes.  these are my favorite totes yet.  the perfect size, soft, but super-duper-sturdy and the straps are just the right length.  these little faces are just hoping that you'll carry them to the library, grocery store, beach, etc.  they want to see the world!

floral horse zip pouch

i used my pretty horse cameo fabric to make a couple of sweet pouches that are now in the shop.  these are fully lined with our logo printed inside and a faux suede zipper pull.  happy horses!

color & send doodletown postcard

here are some of my little drawings for you to color!  plenty of faces, animals, plants and miscellaneous shapes professionally printed on premium uncoated stock, perfect for markers & pencils...  now available in our shop.

doodletown & teddy bears

just wanted to share a couple new pouches recently added to the shops (imaginary animal & etsy).  both are made from my original fabric designs with our logo screen printed on the lining. 

i'm particularly fond of the doodletown pouch.  i'd love to design more fabrics like this, packed with funny little shapes and creatures.  so fun!  you can purchase this pouch here or here.   the fabric is also available (for a limited time) in my spoonflower shop.











and here we have the teddy bear's picnic pouch...  featuring those fuzzy little bow-tie-teddies, tumbling around on a gingham background.  i think this would be a fun little gift (filled with gummy bears or teddy grahams?).  these are available here and here.  another option:  purchase the fabric in my spoonflower shop & make your own...  i think this fabric would also make pretty hilarious napkins, no?
