My Illustration in REI's Force of Nature Zine

I did this watercolor illustration back in April for REI's new zine: Force of Nature. I was excited to receive a stack of the publication in the mail the other day - Always a treat to see my work in print especially in the company of so many great women artists and illustrators!

here's an illustration i did for oh comely (issue #21)…  unnerving details were encouraged, making this an extra fun project for me!

this is a graphite & watercolor illustration for Spoonful (a delightful australian zine).  i was among a group of illustrators invited to interpret the idea of a tiered cake for the current issue (dedicated to sweetness).  any excuse to draw lots of little plants and animals!

uppercase #16

the new issue of uppercase arrived a couple days ago.  isn't the cover great?  so much inspiration in these pages.  plus a nice bonus of seeing my crocheted circles in print!  (little sheep is pleased, too).

just because i like to write in lowercase letters doesn't mean i don't like uppercase. you may have spotted a few pretty issues on our new shelf in a recent post.   we were really excited to receive the current issue (14) because our name illustrations appear on page 30! 

i illustrated my name using the negative space between plant-forms and david hand-lettered his as an actual maze!
