trending dinos

thanks to all those who chose one of my designs for free swatch day at Spoonflower.  it makes me happy to see my dinosaur fabric at the top of recent trends!

for those who missed it (like i almost did) you can purchase a swatch for only $5 and a fat quarter for less than $10.  that's not bad for fabric designs that you won't find anywhere else!  click here to visit my Spoonflower shop:

thank you, molly ringwald.

we were pretty pumped when we found out (a week ago!) that Handsoap would be included in People Magazine's holiday gift guide...  we didn't know until we saw the issue yesterday that it was selected by Molly Ringwald and that she says "they're soaps but also cool sculptures.  i place them in a dish to display on a shelf"...  talk about icing on the cake!

Handsoap in People Magazine's Holiday Gift Guide!

oh, and happy thanksgiving!

handsoap in uppercase!

look what arrived in our mailbox today...  issue 17 of uppercase magazine!  always full of inspiration, this one's extra special because there's a little story about handsoap on page 10!  the text tells how i first made hand-shaped soaps for an art project while in grad school.  you can see photos of the project and read the story here.

bonus:  as an uppercase contributor i get to share a special coupon with you:  use the code 'contributor17' to receive $10 off a subscription or renewal.   (click here to subscribe).

side note:  i have been drawing lots of pigs lately.  here is a good way to get a close look at a teeny tiny swine-y:

uppercase

just because i like to write in lowercase letters doesn't mean i don't like uppercase. you may have spotted a few pretty issues on our new shelf in a recent post.   we were really excited to receive the current issue (14) because our name illustrations appear on page 30!
