yesterday i finished installing my new piece at artlink and decided on a title: "fear in the forest:  when push comes to shove".  here are a couple of glimpses... more soon!

little weapons

no, we're not waging war with the squirrels, these are some wee weapons i've been creating for an artwork i will be installing at a gallery next week.  it's kind of crazy how much i enjoy wrapping pebbles in string and whittling twigs into spears. 

also for this piece i created over 20 new fabric designs (exciting!), you can see two (made into tiny pillow cases) below...







this is my favorite weapon so far.  it can be used as a basher, a fishing pole and a musical instrument (though i haven't figured out how to tune it yet).

the show, shifting threads, is at artlink.  the opening will be on friday, june 7 from 6-9.

just got some film back from the art opening that i did my installation for.

it was so fun being sneaky, getting shots of people looking at my piece.
